| Where
to Use: NANO1000 is ideal for use on any porous non-synthetic
material. NANO1000 uses zero VOC nanotechnology chemistry with
the nanometer-sized molecules bonding 100% below the surface (in
the pores of material) to give a non-peel long lasting bond. The
ideal uses include treating freshly installed stone, brick, travertine,
concrete, grout, or any other porous stone and masonry materials.
Do not use on top of other sealers, or painted surfaces. The finish
is invisible and transparent once fully cured.
Surface
Prep: Clean and Dry. Remove all the surface dirt, stains
and residues preferably with a hot water pressure washer and appropriate
cleaner(s) before you apply NANO1000. Use non-acid liquid detergents
or bleach to remove dirt and surface residues. Prior sealers need
to be totally removed with strippers or even media blasting as
the preferred method. Allow the surface to dry completely before
applying NANO1000 to the surface. NANO1000 is best used on new
untreated surfaces and concrete should cure at least 28 days for
maximum effectiveness.
Application:
Shake Well. Use NANO1000 when the surface is Clean and
Dry and air temps are between 40 – 100 degrees Fahrenheit. You
can put it on with a high quality 3/8 -1/2” nap roller, nylon
or polyester brush, or clean pump sprayer. Do not thin NANO1000
when you use it. Apply two coats “wet on wet” until the surface
is completely saturated. For first and second coats, only apply
NANO1000 to sections which are no larger than 10 square feet at
a time to insure maximum penetration.
Dry
Time: NANO1000 dries to touch in 1 hour, is safe to walk
on in 2 hours, and cures fully in 7 days.
Clean Up: Use soap and water to clean up.
Protect NANO1000 by storing at temperatures above 45° indoors.
Graffiti
Removal: Use graffiti cleaner and pressure
washer in the low to medium pressure range (1500 psi).
Coverage:
Coverage shall range from 200 square feet to 600 sq. ft. per gallon,
depending on porosity of surface.
- Average
is 300 sq. ft. for natural stone depending on the density of
the surface.
- Concrete:
250 sq. ft. Limestone: 300 sq. ft. Travertine and Slate: 600
sq. ft.
- Shelf
Life: Use within one year of purchase date.
Some
Important Instructions:
- Regular
maintenance is best to keep NANO1000 effective longer:
- Softer
surfaces being treated will naturally wear more rapidly than
harder surfaces and if they are worn off may need to be re-treated
to maintain effectiveness. Observe if the surface resists water
penetration and if not, apply more NANO1000 in areas that do
not resist water.
- High
traffic areas may also need reapplication due to heavier use.
If the surface is resisting water it does not need re-treatment.
- Not
intended to be used over sealers other than NANO1000, or surfaces
treated with silicon or oil-based stains.
- Treated
surfaces will be more slippery for 7 days following application.
After 7 days, treated surface will be slightly slipperier than
the original untreated surface.
- Do
not use under water or for underwater applications.
- New
concrete applications must be cured for a minimum of 28 days.
Hydrostatic leak issues must be repaired before application.
- Oil
and stain producing material spills should be cleaned up when
they occur.
- Do
not use acid base cleaners.
- Use
household cleaners, degreasers or solvents to clean treated
surfaces. Brushing and/or low pressure power washing may be
necessary to clean stubborn areas. For tough stains, Acetone
is effective.
- Areas
prone to algae growth should be washed regularly to prevent
build up of surface residue, on which algae can grow.
- Use
on porous substrates which are clean and dry. Stains that are
not removed prior to application of treatment will become permanent.
- Do
not allow NANO1000 to splash onto plants or areas that are painted
or may be painted in the future.
